    Description

    From a recent estate sale is an old real photo postcard of Front Street in Douglas, Alaska - the postcard was originally in a photo album and was identified there. The postcard was not mailed and the Velox stamp box dates it 1901-1914. There is an "Olympia Beer on Draught" sign on the building at right. Across the street is a round sign that with a loupe I can read Pacific Coast Steamship Co. Further down the street a building sign reads Hotel Northern.The postcard has what looks to me like ink stains on the back side which show through on the road on the front side.
